County of Marin Health and Human Services

MHSA Workforce Education and Training (WET)

If you are interested in pursuing a Certified Peer Specialist Training, there are some organizations that are offering their trainings for free. More information at: https://www.capeercertification.org/. If you have any questions regarding Peer Support, please email Mark.Parker@MarinCounty.gov

The BHRS WET Scholarship program is on hold until further notice. Thank you to all our past recipients for taking advantage of our program. The goal of the program was to enhance the treatment experience for mental health and substance use clients by supporting the training of a culturally diverse, inclusive, and engaged workforce with lived experience to work in the mental health and substance use service system.  We are grateful there are now some free options available.

If you were a recipient of a WET Scholarship, please consider taking a moment to share with the County the impact it made on your career path and what you are up to now. We would love to hear from you.

If you have any questions please contact, Mark Parker, BHRS Peer Program Coordinator by email: mark.parker@marincounty.gov
