Center for Domestic Peace

We lead a comprehensive community effort to end the #1 violent crime in Marin County: domestic violence. We provide transformational services and programs that protect and enhance victim safety, and ultimately engage our community in permanent change. These include: emergency assistance and emotional support in both English and Spanish, provided (24 hours, 365 days a year) by trained hotline volunteers assisting in problem solving, personal safety, and police intervention. Hotline staff also assist in obtaining emergency shelter, medical and legal assistance, and child care, and provide referrals to community resources. The Hotline is one of the few in the Bay Area that provides 24-hour intake to help survivors access emergency shelter. We also provide therapy groups for children who have witnessed domestic violence and their survivor parent, along with a specialized hotline and support for teens and young adults who are experiencing dating abuse.
