Center Point: Transitional Housing Program (THP)
Center Point operates transitional housing services for impoverished and homeless clients in Marin County. This temporary housing program acts as a necessary bridge between treatment and independent living for clients completing residential treatment programs while undertaking the critical transition to independent, self-sufficient living in their local communities. The THP, funded by HUD, provides homeless families and individuals with up to 24 months of transitional housing and supportive services enabling them to stabilize their lives and eventually transition into permanent housing. The THP is a licensed coeducational program providing clients with shared rooms in houses or apartments. Through the THP, individuals completing Center Point residential treatment programs who require a more gradual transition into independent living are provided affordable, long-term transitional housing where they live in a supportive environment with others in recovery and participate in various therapeutic activities. Clients generally stay until permanent housing is found.
