Homeward Bound of Marin: New Beginnings Center

New Beginnings Center (NBC) is an 80-bed dormitory-style facility built on a decommissioned military base. NBC provides housing-focused shelter services for homeless individuals, with three meals available daily, on-site counselors, support for job and housing search, plus referral to other community support services as needed to help residents secure permanent housing. Participants at New Beginnings Center have access to job training at Fresh Starts Culinary Academy or through an apprenticeship in janitorial and building maintenance.
