Marin Transit
The Marin County Transit District was formed by a vote of the people of Marin County in 1964 and is responsible for local fixed route and paratransit service in Marin County. Marin Transit also manages the contract for regional paratransit service on behalf of Golden Gate Transit. Marin Transit’s services include local bus routes, community shuttles, supplemental school services, the Muir Woods Shuttle, the West Marin Stagecoach, and Marin Access programs for seniors and people with disabilities. These services are provided under contract with Golden Gate Transit, Marin Airporter, MV Transportation, and Whistlestop Wheels.
