24 hour presence of Certified Nurse Midwives and Obstetricians at the hospital.
YOUR CHOICE OF LABOR SUPPORT:
We welcome doulas, family members or other support persons you choose to be present during your birth.
YOUR CHOICE TO HAVE A NON-MEDICATED OR MEDICATED BIRTH:
We offer a range labor support techniques, such as hydrotherapy, guided relaxation, therapeutic touch, as well as pharmaceutical methods of pain management including epidurals.
YOUR CHOICE OF VAGINAL BIRTH AFTER CESAREAN:
We are proud of our >70% success rate! You have the option of a midwife or obstetrician to care for you during your labor and will be supported by a team of highly experienced staff at the Family Birth Center.

As members of Prima Medical Group, the Midwives of Marin are pleased to offer a practice that fully integrates midwifery care throughout your entire pregnancy including your birth experience at Marin General Hospital’s Family Birth Center.
Gynecology
Our Ob/gyn physicians are here to take care of all your gynecologic needs. From annual exams to complex surgical procedures we will take care of you.
We have physicians trained in minimally invasive surgical procedures (David Galland, MD, Jennifer Voss, MD, and Alexis Cardellini, MD) and in procedures with the DaVinci Robot (David Galland, MD and Jennifer Voss, MD).
