San Rafael Public Library

The San Rafael Public Library includes the Downtown Library at 5th and E Streets and the Pickleweed Library on Canal Street. We offer full physical and digital collections with books, magazines, newspapers, movies, and music for all ages. Our in-library services include computers and Wi-Fi, events and classes, and research assistance. Our digital branch (srpubliclibrary.org) offers downloadable eBooks, free magazine articles, language learning, and more.

The library's Outreach Services provides free delivery of library materials to San Rafael residents who are unable to come to the library due to physical impairment or frailty. You may select large print (or regular) books or books on CD to be delivered by friendly volunteers to your retirement home, convalescent hospital, or private home.

One-on-one computer tutoring by appointment is also available. get up to two free hour-long sessions with patient and knowledgeable volunteers to help you with various topics including computer basics, email, and web serching.
