Limited Essential Services


Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is always open! Any resident who is experiencing a mental health or substance use issue, can call our 24-hour, confidential Access Line at 1-888-818-1115.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.

During the shelter in place order, Marin County has moved to limited essential services to help maintain the safety of our community, clients, and staff. This will not affect any County emergency services. If you are experiencing a Psychiatric Emergency, please immediately call 9-1-1, or go to the nearest Crisis Stabilization Unit or Emergency Room.

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services is providing services through telehealth, phone, and in-person for certain appointments. General questions regarding Behavioral Health Services can be directed to 1-888-818-1115.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 9:30am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm. 

Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSUS) changed its name to Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS).  As such, all references in existing departmental policies and procedures to MHSUS can be understood to reference BHRS as well.
