First 5 Marin: Valley School Readiness Initiative [1]

The goal of First 5 Marin's School Readiness initiatives is to prepare the 'whole child' to be successful in school and in life. Activities include Summer Bridge (kindergarten preparation for those children with little or no preschool experiences), family and health advocates, health insurance enrollment assistance, vision and hearing assessments, dental/oral health screenings and treatment, playgroups, family literacy, parent education and support, early childhood educator training, mental health services, nutrition education, recreational activities and special projects based on local needs.
