Foster Grandparent Program (through the United Way) [1]

Foster Grandparents devote their volunteer service entirely to elementary and middle school students. Teams of Foster Grandparents volunteers tutor and mentor students, provide classroom assistance, and help out in after school programs in schools in San Rafael. Additionally, volunteers often support youth in enrichment activities, creating art, reading books, or developing programs for children based on their own unique backgrounds and experiences. Participating schools are Venetia Valley Elementary School (Santa Venetia Valley, northern San Rafael) and San Pedro Elementary School (San Rafael)
