Marin Center for Independent Living: Cross Disability Peer Support Group [1]

Experience is the best teacher. People with disabilities know best what works and does not work for them. The value of having gone through the process -- whether it is working through bureaucratic systems, coming to terms with new limitations, adjusting to family and community, there is intrinsic value in having 'been there.' The peer support group at Marin CIL is a collection of diverse and dynamic individuals who tackle these issues. The group is open to all types of disabilities. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences and learn from others
