RFP Description: 

Marin County Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Adult Services is issuing a Request for Proposal to seek qualified public or nonprofit providers for the provision of the federal Older Americans Act Title III B Supportive Services Senior Center Activities.  Senior Center Activities, offered in alternative formats, such as web conferencing/telephonically, via drive-through or pickup offerings, or in a hybrid model combining virtual and with socially distanced in-person activities, may help older adults establish connection and alleviate some of the adverse impacts of social isolation during the pandemic.

Question: We recently found out about the MHHS Older American Act Title IIIB Support Services Senior Center Activities. Is this a new grant? Has anyone in the County received it before?

Answer: This is not a new grant. Yes, others have recieved the grant before. The Older Americans Act Title IIIB offers this grant every 4 years. The grant was proposed to begin July 1, 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.
