MarinCounty Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk

The Assessor:
·Determines the assessed value of local real, business, personal
property; including boats and aircraft for property taxation.
·Administers property tax exemptions including; homeowners,
veterans, seniors, non-profits, etc.
·Administers Assessor’s parcel map program.
·Maintains records and provides copies of records for locally
assessed property and provides assessment information.

The Recorder:
·Records documents and maintains records related to maps and the
ownership and encumbrance of real property in Marin
·Maintains and provides copies of birth, death, and marriage
certificates
·Provides copies of recorded documents and maps

The County Clerk:
·Issues public and confidential marriage licenses
·Performs civil ceremonies
·Processes fictitious business names
·Registers domestic partnerships, notary oaths, professional
photocopiers, and process servers
·Issues solicitors permits
