Helen Vine Recovery Center (Buckelew Programs)
Telephone: 415-492-0818

The Helen Vine Recovery Center is a non-medical detoxification program where adults under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol can safely withdraw from the ill effects of intoxication. The Center is staffed by trained personnel specializing in alcohol and drug detoxification, relapse prevention, assessment and referral, and teaching skills of daily living. Individuals in need of medication support will be referred for a medical evaluation if needed. Individuals may be referred by Self, Family, Law Enforcement, Emergency Room and Crisis Stabilization Unit. The typical length of stay is 3-5 days.

Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSUS) changed its name to Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS).  As such, all references in existing departmental policies and procedures to MHSUS can be understood to reference BHRS as well.
