Nutrition Wellness Program

The Nutrition Wellness Program manages the CalFresh Healthy Living Program funded by the USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.  In an effort to reduce chronic disease, the program utilizes policy, systems, and environmental change strategies to create healthy places to live, work and play.  The Nutrition Wellness Program helps low-income communities increase access to healthy foods, beverages and physical activity through a variety of free services, including:

  • Marin County Fruit and Veggie Fest on June 29, 2024 from 11AM – 2PM
  • Nutrition education classes and events
  • Train the trainer workshops for community leaders to teach nutrition education
  • Social marketing to help promote healthy communities

The Nutrition Wellness Program also manages the Healthy Eating Active Living Initiative (HEAL) Funded by the County of Marin. MarinHEAL is a Collective Impact initiative that convenes healthy eating active living stakeholders from many sectors across Marin County.
